Daisy Lane Bakery Glazed Chocolate Donuts
RECIPE
Servings 2 1/2 dozen donuts| Prep Time 20 minutes| Total Time 1 1/2 hour
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE BATTER:
250 g all-purpose flour - sifted (approximately 2 cups)
65 g cocoa powder (approximately 2/3 cup)
260 g (approximately 1 1/4 cup) sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. fine pink himalayan salt

2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 T strong brewed coffee
1 egg
2 T melted butter
1 1/2 cup milk
1 T. canola oil

FOR THE GLAZE:
5 cups confectioners sugar
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/2 - 3/4 cup milk
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 355 degrees F.
2. Prepare donut pan, by lightly wiping with canola oil.
2. In a medium bowl, combine and whisk the dry ingredients; set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the oil, vanilla, milk, and egg & mix until fully integrated. Add the melted butter.
4; Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until thoroughly blended.
5. Pour the batter into the donut rings, approximately 3/4 of the way full.
6; Bake on the upper middle rack for 15 minutes., or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of a donut comes out clean.
7. While the first batch of donuts are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking all three ingredients together.
7. Let the donuts cool in the donut pan for approximately 15 minutes.
8. Using a toothpick, carefully remove the donuts from the pan and place on rack over a piece of parchment paper.
9. Once the donuts are completely cooled, glaze the donuts by quickly dipping both sides into the glaze, placing them back on the rack, and letting them drip dry, to set.
